T#060 OUR SINNINGS HAVE BEEN THE SOURCE OF ALL THE AFFLICTIONS WE SUFFERED FROM --- LIVING IN THIS WORLD!

.... NOT from VIRUSES, CANCER, TERRORISM, WAR, SCAMS, CATASTROPHE, POLLUTION

but ... from
OUR ACTS of SINNING ....

ORIGINATES
THESE AFFLICTIONS
WE SUFFER
IN THIS LIFE !!!

>>Matthew 10:28 ----

OUR SINNING or COMMITTING SIN
destroys BOTH our soul and our body!

  • Physical or bodily pains are nothing compared to
  • sufferings in our intelligence, emotions, urges & appetites, and will!
  • EVEN & MORE SO because our bodily pains end-up at our graves;
  • but our very person (our soul) being immortal
  • can continue to suffer and endlessly at that in eternity
  • because that particular single instant of sinning
  • which causes our physical death
  • ends up our time
  • and

seals us
from being able

  • and proceed to AVAILING OF HIS GRAND AMNESTY GRANT
  • which has been stretched to the limit with

that single particular
sinning
(that caused our bodily death) and

  • that is when THE LORD JESUS
  • shall have judged our soul
  • because we have
  • finally quenched >>1st Thessalonians 5:19 after
  • having
  • grieved >>Ephesians 4:30
  • resisted >>Acts 7:51
  • The Holy Spirit by then and
  • that particular sin has become our unforgivable sin
  • for our personal case!

>>1st John 3:4  ----

Sinning is transgressing
of the law standard of behaviour
(ACT OF COMMISSION)

>>1st John 5:17 ----

All unrighteousness is sinning.
(ACT OF OMISSION)

  • SINNING is to miss the target or standard
  • (THE WILL, THE PLEASURES & THE INSTRUCTIONS OF GOD!)
  • whether commission or omission

>>1st John 5:16 ----

MORTAL SIN is that particular sin
that LEADS one to his/her physical DEATH!

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF MORTAL SIN:

OLD TESTAMENT TIMES

People of Israel at Kadesh (>>Numbers 12:25 – 14:32).
  • They tempted THE LORD several times (>>14:22) but they were always forgiven.
  • The same sin however caused GOD to finally cause their bodies to fell in death in the wilderness.
  • (What has been venial sin [in Roman Catholic terminology] to you in the past ---- can become your mortal sin!).

At the waters of Meribah, Moses (the humblest of men, --- >>Numbers 12:3)
  • was provoked to speak “rash words” (>>Psalm 106:32-33).
  • This was his mortal sin; and
  • he died outside Canaan (>>Deuteronomy 32:49-52).

Aaron committed the same offense as Moses (>>Deuteronomy 32:50-51) and
  • he too died without entering Canaan (>>Matthew 20:24).

The man of GOD who journeyed from Judah to Bethel
  • disobeyed the command of GOD with regards to eating and drinking and
  • in so doing he committed his mortal sin (>>1st Kings 13:21-24).

NEW TESTAMENT TIMES
THE AGE OF GRACE
THE CHURCH AGE

Ananias and Sapphira
  • died because they committed what for them was mortal sin
  • --- because they lied to The Holy Spirit
  • by keeping back part of the proceeds from THE LORD (>>Acts 5:1-11).

The man in Corinth who
  • had for his own his father’s wife
  • was guilty of this kind of sin
  • which forced Paul to pronounce judgment
  • by telling those at Corinth
  • “to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh” (>>1st Corinthians 5:5).

Not a few of the brethren in Corinth
  • died because they were guilty
  • of profaning the body and blood of the Lord
  • (>>1st Corinthians 11:27, 30).

FROM THE ABOVE,
it is very clear
TO UNDERSTAND

that mortal sin varies from person to person.

  • A particular sin for one
  • may be mortal sin to him; and yet
  • to another it is not, and vice-versa.
  • This is because of differences in THE amount of GRACE
  • extended from person to person by GOD HIMSELF
  • and how each one of us received and made
  • life, light, and truth about THEM one after another.

WE SHOULD
therefore
NOT PERMIT
ANY SIN
TO REIGN & ENSLAVE
US IN OUR LIVING

  • THE BIBLE is the book that keeps us away from sin.
  • but we can also sin by going against any purpose & intent of THE BIBLE for us!
  • AND, sin can readily keep us away from THE BIBLE!

We individually
have to render
a decision
which to pursue! ! !

  • Our body can be weakened, yet
  • we must never lose sight that
  • we have that will to exercise
  • so that we should judge ourselves.

We must judge sin
without laxity and compromise.

  • GOD is forgiving (>>Psalms 86:5).
  • HE is all good (>>Psalm 25:8, 34:8).
  • HE is all powerful.
  • HE can do everything good for us (>>Job 36:5-16).
  • HE has already caused to get written down how we ought to deal with our sinnings!

For them like John indwelt by The Holy Spirit already,

  • THE BIBLE’s formula for the forgiveness of their current sinnings is:

"If we confess our sinnings, HE is faithful to forgive us our sinnings and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” --->>1st John 1:9

For those believers who do not as-yet-have the indwelling of
The Holy Spirit in them:

^Repent, and let each one of you ^^be baptized in the name of JESUS THE CHRIST for the forgiveness of your sinnings; and you will receive the gift of The Holy Spirit.” --->>Acts 2:38
