JUST BECAUSE WE ARE IN MISERY DOES NOT MEAN GOD DOES NOT CARE FOR US!!!!
WE SIMPLY JUST HAVE TO LOOK BEYOND THE SITUATION --- specifically:
- GOD's PURPOSES,
- HIS TIMETABLE &
- WHAT HE WANTS US TO DO FROM DEVELOPMENT TO DEVELOPMENT.

>>verse 5 --- “Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.”
>>John 3:16 - “For GOD so loved us in the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever among us believes in HIM as THE CHRIST shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
GOD is alive, loves us, and cares for us!
II. GOD IS WITH US!
HE is THE LIVING GOD WHO created the heavens and the earth and sea and everything in them (>>Acts 14:15).
GOD has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” --- >>Hebrews 12:5.
"GOD is our refuge and strength, THE EVER-PRESENT HELP in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging…THE LORD ALMIGHTY is with us; THE GOD of JACOB is our fortress.” --- >>Psalm 46:1-3, >>7.
III. DESPITE HIS LOVE, CARES AND INDWELLING US, WE CAN STILL FIND OURSELVES IN MISERIES because GOD HAS HIS OWN PURPOSES FOR THEM!
>>verse 4 --- “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for GOD’s glory so that GOD’s SON may be glorified through it.”
>>verse 15 --- “Lazarus is dead and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe.”
>>verse 39 --- “Take away the stone”, HE commanded them. “But Lord”, said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”
>>verse 42 --- “I know that You always hear ME, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that You sent ME.”
IV. GOD IS GLORIFIED IF WE CONTINUE TO BELIEVE IN & LIVE THE LORDSHIP & THE CHRISTHOOD of JESUS AMIDST OUR MISERIES!!!!
>>verses 40 – 41 --- “ Then JESUS said, ‘Did I not tell you, that if you would believe (in MY LORDSHIP & CHRISTHOOD), you would see the glory of GOD?’ So they took away the stone. Then JESUS looked up and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard ME.”
>>Psalm 49:15 --- “But GOD will redeem my life from the grave; HE will surely take me to HIMSELF.”
V. GOD HAS HIS OWN TIMETABLE!
>>verse 6 --- “Yet when HE heard that Lazarus was sick , HE stayed where HE was two more days.”
>>verse 17 --- “On HIS arrival , JESUS found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.”
VI. GOD HAS SOMETHING FOR US TO DO OURSELVES

>>verse 44 --- “The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. JESUS said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”
