BEFORE Pentecost Day, A.D. 33
- even the great men of GOD
- in The Old Covenant times
- were not indwelt by The Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit was only UPON them
- when GOD led them.
For proofs, refer to:
• >>Numbers 11:16-17 - in the case of Moses and the 70 men from the elders
• >>Judges 3:10 - in the case of Othniel, Caleb’s nephew
• >>Judges 6:34 - in the case of Gideon
• >>Judges 15:14 - in the case of Samson
• >>1st Samuel 11:6 - in the case of King Saul
• >>1st Samuel 16:13 - in the case of King David
• >>Isaiah 59:21 - in the case of Isaiah
• >>Ezekiel 11:5 - in the case of Ezekiel himself
The only probable exceptions were perhaps Joseph
(>>Genesis 41:38), Joshua (>>Numbers 27:18), and
Daniel (>>Daniel 4:8 and >>5:11).
THE PROMISE of
THE BAPTISM
WITH The Holy Spirit
THE PROMISE of
THE BAPTISM
WITH The Holy Spirit
- which Pentecostals and
- their-influenced Catholic Charismatics
- wrongly snides as
- THE INDWELLING of The Holy Spirit
in man
- was first mentioned by John the Baptist in >>Matthew 3:11 and >>John 1:33
- and was to be ACCOMPLISHED by JESUS HIMSELF.
- The promise was to happen in the last days (>>Acts 2:17)

- Shortly after JESUS’ ascension
- IT was still to happen as recorded in The Acts of The Holy Spirit.... >>Chapter 1:4-5
- “not many days from now.”
The apostles
- tarried in Jerusalem
- (in obedience to JESUS’ command
- in The Acts of The Holy Spirit.... >>Chapter 1:4)
- but

As a result of
that promised baptism

that promised baptism
on the apostles ONLY
- spontaneously followed and resulted
- the outpouring of The same Holy Spirit
- on ALL BELIEVERS in
- JESUS’ LORDSHIP & CHRISTHOOD
- as they obeyed the commands
- to repent
- and get baptized with
- for the summary remission of their sinnings
- committed during all their time of unbelief yet
- in THE LORDSHIP & THE CHRISTHOOD of JESUS
- ---- which sending/baptizing/outpouring was seen and heard

- by all present.
The same sending/baptizing/
outpouring as seen and heard
outpouring as seen and heard
- happened only on that particular event
- when the apostles received
- (by merely tarrying in Jerusalem)
- THE PROMISED BAPTISM WITH The Holy Spirit
- and then thereafter ....
for the 3,000 believers
on that very occasion
on that very occasion

Yes, there were
two distinct baptisms

There is nothing written in
THE BIBLE that speaks of
THE BIBLE that speaks of
THE BAPTISM WITH
The Holy Spirit
happening after
The Holy Spirit
happening after
that Pentecost Day of A.D. 33
- as duplicating what happened
- as recorded in The Acts of The Holy Spirit.... >>Chapter 2:1-17
- Nowhere, after The Acts of The Holy Spirit.... Chapter 2
- is the action of pouring by JESUS THE CHRIST
- mentioned as a present occurrence
- or as if it had just occurred.
On the contrary
The Outpouring
of The Spirit
of The Spirit
by JESUS THE CHRIST
- after The Acts of The Holy Spirit.... >>Chapter 2:16 and following
- has been mentioned consistently
- as A SINGLE, PAST, and COMPLETED ACTION
- as in The Acts of The Holy Spirit

The matter of receiving

- (than The Old One that was then for the Jews only)
- COVENANT
- --- of which JESUS is THE MEDIATOR
- --- under a more excellent ministry
- --- enacted on better promises (>>Hebrews 8:6)
- --- and following up to >>verse 13

- In no single instance has it ever been
mentioned, written and printed in The New Covenant including The whole Bible.
- This is how sadly unbiblical their practices and teachings are on this matter.
- Oh, how anti-&-contra-biblical it is
- to administer 2 baptisms to their members
- as being contradictory to the oneness of The Baptism for our obedience >>Ephesians 4:5.]
THE PURPOSES OF
THE BAPTISM WITH
THE HOLY SPIRIT:
THE BAPTISM WITH
THE HOLY SPIRIT:
A. What the purposes could not have been:
1. Not to get them into THE CHURCH
- as they have been apostles of THE CHRIST
- even before they were baptized with The Holy Spirit and
- as apostles they were in fact the very first
- in THE CHURCH
- (>>1st Corinthians 12:28, >>Ephesians 2:20).
2. Not to give them The Holy Spirit
- because they already earlier had The Holy Spirit in them
- in that unique manner just for them
- as apostles, as recorded in >>John 20:21-23.
B. The Real Purposes as evident in the promise by JESUS:
1. Was to saturate them with power
- as they comprise the initial batch of official witnesses
- of THE Resurrected CHRIST
- (Acts of The Holy Spirit.... >>Chapters 1:8, >>2:31, >>4:33).
2. Was to guide them into all the truths
- as they taught then verbally
- of the things that will finally become part
- of what we have now(!)
- as THE written NEW COVENANT.
3. Was to bring all past things
- to their remembrance and recall
- so that those truths be included
- in what they continue to teach verbally
- and then .... later write
- to form part of what we now(!) have
- as completely compiled, written already and very well-circularized & publicized
- THE New COVENANT
- (>>John 14:26, >>16:33).
C. The Real Purposes evident in the benefits conferred by JESUS:
1. Was to enable them to do signs and wonders/miracles
- ---- which served to confirm the truths
- ---- to the people they preached to
- (Acts of The Holy Spirit.... >>Chapters 2:43, >>5:12
- >>Hebrews 2:3-4)
- ---- when THE New COVENANTt was not as yet
- ---- the whole written book
- ---- that we can now refer to
- ---- at every need
- ---- and believe
- without need
- ---- for current proofs and confirmations
- ---- with current miracles (>>John 20:30-31).
2. Was to enable these unlearned-of-languages men
- to speak in a single utterance
- ---- the different languages they
have not learned
- ----
and not knownprior to that speaking they did
- ---- getting them understood by their hearers
- ---- to initially carry out the great commission
- to those transients in Jerusalem 3,000 Jews
- on that particular Pentecost Day of A.D. 33
- (Acts of The Holy Spirit.... >>Chapter 2:4-11, >>Matthew 28:19-20)
- ---- with unexpected efficacy.
3. Was to enable them to confer the extra-ordinary gifts
- (>>1st Corinthians 12:4-11) of The Holy Spirit
- --- while THE New COVENANT
- --- was still in the process of being implemented
- --- not yet in written form as we have it now
- --- by the laying on of their (apostles) hands
- (Acts of The Holy Spirit.... >>Chapters 6:6, >>19:6,
- >>Romans 1:11, and
- >>2nd Timothy 1:6).
“ There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one LORD, one faith, one baptism, one GOD and The Father of all Who is over all and through all and in all.” --- >>Ephesians 4:4-6
THE INDWELLING of
The Holy Spirit is:
The Holy Spirit is:
1. GOD’s sealing us
- ....... as HIS OWN
- ....... and HIS downpayment and pledge
- ....... for us to-be with authenticity HIS OWN
- ....... even unto the day of our redemption
- >>2nd Corinthians 1:22,
- >>Ephesians 1:13
- >>Ephesians 4:30).
2. THE ASSURANCE that in between
- HIS sealing and our day of redemption
- ....... there is HE in us
- ....... in all our worldliness
- ....... WHO convicts us concerning
- sinning,
- righteousness and
- judgment
- ....... concerning SINNING, because the world does not believe HIM
- ....... and concerning RIGHTEOUSNESS, because THE JESUS
- ....... we have come to know as incarnated, lived in this world, died, resurrected as recorded in The Bible
- ....... is already ascended and with The Father in heaven
- ....... and concerning JUDGMENT
- because Satan has already been judged
- (>>John 16:8-11).
3. Our ASSURANCE --- that there is HE WHO helps us in all our weaknesses
- ....... even unto our praying as we ought to
- ....... where HE intercedes for us
- ....... with groanings too deep for words
- (>>Romans 8:26).
4. Our ASSURANCE --- that there is HE WHO is in us in all our isolation
- ....... and even forever unto eternity when
- ....... GOD will be all and in all
- (>>John 14:16-21).
5. Our ASSURANCE --- that in all our ignorance, HE will guide us into all truth
- ....... disclosing even those which are yet to come
- ....... such as, but not limited to understanding
- ....... what are disclosed in The Book of REVELATION
- (>>John 16:13)
6. THE DISTINCTIVE DIFFERENCE IN GOD's PROVISION for HOLINESS
- ....... FOR THE MEN OF GOD WHO LIVED UNDER THE OLD COVENANT
- ....... & WE WHO LIVE IN THESE LAST DAYS as ....... THE NEW CREATION (>>2nd Corinthians 5:17).
7. WHAT MAKES US individually JOINED TO as-part-of HIS CHURCH, HIS BODY, HIS HOUSEHOLD, HIS FLOCK, HIS BUILDING, HIS FARM, HIS KINGDOM, HIS BRIDE
- .…. WITHOUT THIS INDWELLING
- ...... WE ARE NOT ANY of HIS above
- ...... & THE PROMISES IN THE NEW COVENANT
- ...... DO NOT HOLD TRUE FOR US !!!
