CIRCUMSTANCES

WE ARE TO LEARN

OF

JOHN THE BAPTIST

• very differently dressed was he

• compared to the religious of his time = >>Matthew 3:4

• very simple in his food = >>Matthew 3:4

• humble even in his preachings = >>Mark 1:7

• humble in the declaration of his actions = >>Mark1:8

• obedient to JESUS he was = >>Matthew 3:15

• honored (by THE CHRIST HIMSELF), he was = >>Matthew 11:11

• he did no miracle whatsoever = >>John 10:41

>>Luke 16:16 = The Law and The Prophets of The Old Testament

• were to give way to the preaching of 

>>> THE GOSPEL of The Kingdom of GOD

• because It has already become the way of religiousness

• as espoused and worked for by THE PHARISEES

• and was to give way to THE NEW ORDER ENTIRELY DIFFERENT

• --- different even and more so from the long existing one

• The Jews have inherited from their ancestors

• and religious leaders --- 

this time however

MEANT FOR
THE JEWS & THE GENTILES,
individually,
jointly and severally

in this end-time we are living

under THE LORD JESUS
THE CHRIST

>>John 1:19-22 = No wonder, religious leaders of his time

• went to him

• to ask him

• who he was,

• hoping they can answer satisfactorily

• the questions coming from their members.

>>John 1:25 = The experts in The Law (THE PHARISEES)

• in fact asked him

• why he was baptizing

• if he had no religious office or authority

• as they in their current office and authority have inherited them.

>>John 1:6 = All those religionists then

• cannot accept the fact,

• a nobody like John the Baptist

• is really “sent by GOD”.

[Oh, how
religionists,
denominationalists,
religious leaders,
position-holders
in their religions,

>>> NICOLAITANS
 in this our time

are repeating the
same mistakes as
their predecessors 

in John’s time!!!

They all think we all
 have to continue with

their temple /
synagogues /
 rituals /
observances /
ways / leaderships

that have come to us
in the name of

their traditions
& ordination!!!!]

JESUS was rejected
as THE CHRIST

• right in HIS OWN neighborhood (>>Mark 6:3).

• right in the very city HE lived (>>Matthew 8:34, >>21:42).

• even in the very religious center of HIS OWN city (>>Luke 4:28-29). 

More than that,
THE HIGH-PRIESTS and
THOSE IN GOVERNMENT

even exchanged HIM

in favor of a criminal

(>>Luke 23:13-18).

• The Jewish NATION as a whole

• refused to believe HIS CHRISTHOOD

• (>>John 1:11, >>5:43, >>12:48)!

No wonder JESUS
has chosen

• the insignificant in our society now(!)

• to do HIS WORK of BUILDING
• ---- methodically for & with HIM,

• even as HE deploys OVERCOMERS in this time of ours,

• because THE CHURCH

• we are building with & for HIM IS

• to-be HIS OWN gift for HIMSELF

• ---- has become increasingly worldly while the world has become churchy.

No wonder,
John the Baptist
was made to preach
in the desert
for us to reflect on ....

• away from the seats of political power, religious influence,

• even of business interests

as we
are called to be
HIS OVERCOMERS

because

the whole of mankind
now(!)

is deeply immersed under
the collective & unified
unescapable
influence & control of

BUSINESS-POLITICS-
RELIGION

getting us away from
GODLINESS and so we

• are now(!) being lead to OVERCOMING

• as THE METHODOLOGY BY THE LORD JESUS

• as the matter for HIS strategy

• appropriate

• for THIS END-TIME!
