P#205A. The 1st STAGE of The TOTAL Development of THE CORRUPTIONS COMING from WITHIN THE CHURCH HERSELF


THE REVELATION

to JOHN

CHAPTER 2


THE MESSAGE

IN REFERENCE TO

 The <-1st-> STAGE

>>Revelation 2:1-7


of THE TOTAL

DEVELOPMENT

of THE CORRUPTIONS

COMING from WITHIN

THE CHURCH

HERSELF!



 v1 “Care/of THE MESSENGER
  • to THE CHURCH
  • still IN DESIRABLE STATUS in Ephesus then write
  • {as left-eldered by John The Apostle to his banishment to Patmos}:
  • THE ONE WHO holds the seven stars in HIS right hand,
  • THE ONE WHO walks among THE ALL-GOLD 7-LAMPS LINED-UP ON A COMMON GOLD STAND, says this:

THE CHIEF PRIEST ---
JESUS THE CHRIST HIMSELF,
is picturing HIMSELF here

  • as tending and caring for THE CHURCH
  • as she is developing into
  • her full realization and history
  • immediately
  • ceased with John’s DEATH.

HE is also
picturing HIMSELF
as THE JUDGE

  • THE AUTHORITY having control
  • over the complete number of messengers
  • for HIS VERDICT to reach and get understood,
  • and for each one in THE CHURCH
  • to get corrected and be guided in REPENTANCE
  • in their individual LIVING
  • as part of THE CHURCH.

Indeed, JUDGMENT
begins in

 THE HOUSEHOLD of GOD
(>>1st Peter 4:17)

  • --- with us NOW(!) in THE CHURCH
  • --- and not-as-yet with some of us
  • who will not obey THE GOSPEL of GOD (>>2nd Thessalonians 1:4-9)
  • who are reserved for JUDGMENT
  • @ HIS 2nd coming yet !

 
v2 ‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance,
  • and that you cannot endure impostors,
  • and you put to the test
  • those who act themselves as "apostles",
  • and they are not, and you found them to be false;


Here, THE OWNER-BOSS-
COMMANDER
& SAVIOR-KING-CHIEF-
PRIEST-JUDGE  

  • outright tells HIS CHURCH of how HE sees them
  • who are already totally devoid of the personal eldering by HIS apostles
  • immediately after John died sometime A.D. 96.

The outward appearance
of HIS CHURCH then
have not changed;

  • yet, THE OWNER-BOSS in HIM
  • has anticipated the soon to deteriorate
  • spirituality in them
  • because some among them
  • were assuming the role of apostles in their midst
  • as Paul wrote earlier in >>2nd Corinthians 11:12-15.

THE BOSS-OWNER-
COMMANDER
knew too well

 that after that period in time,

  • the outward appearance of HIS CHURCH will increasingly become desolate.
  • So, HE hastened to point out that they who were starting to corrupt them

in their being part of
HIS CHURCH are

 those fellow believers
who sought to replace

 the apostles in their roles

  • when they shall come up with
  • behaviors and utterances 
  • according to their own understanding
  • of how it will be with them then
  • when all the apostles will have died already.

{As to how unique and
irreplaceable in power

    the apostles have been
    endowed with in their roles

    • meant and required at the time
    • of the foundation of THE CHURCH only -
    • (>>Ephesians 2:20)
    • when everything had to be verbal only and thru the apostles’ utterances only!,

    refer to >>2nd Corinthians 12:12,
    >>Acts 2:43, >>5:12-16,
    and >>Acts 28:1-9 for Paul’s particular case!}



    v3 and you have perseverance
    • and have endured for MY name’s sake,
    • and have not gone weary.


    Yes, THE CHIEF-PRIEST, KING, JUDGE 
    found many of them fairing very well 
    attitude-wise

    • towards those fellow-believers’
    • assuming unto themselves the role of the apostles
    • in their behaviors and own utterances.

     v4 ‘But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.


    But, THE LORD &
    THE CHRIST
    categorically told them

    • they have already left and abandoned
    • what in time and essence
    • used to be their love ----

    the verbal teachings which
    the apostles
    left them with.

    • Paul as of his writing then officially put on record
    • that all in Asia then
    • have turned away from him already (>>2nd Timothy 1:15).
    • That confirmed on record
    • ---- the started series of accumulated corruptions on THE CHURCH
    • which he declared then
    • and purposely for us
    • --- recorded by Luke in >>Acts 20:30-31.


     v5 ‘Remember therefore
    • from where you have fallen,
    • and repent
    • and do the deeds you did at first;
    • or else I’M coming to you,
    • and will remove you out of the lampstand
    • ---- unless you repent.
    They were told to realize of
    their
    failure to stick to
    the apostles’ teachings and

    that they have to repent
    and go back to

     THE TEACHINGS of
    THE APOSTLES

     and none from
    themselves 

    • as when in their immediate past
    • only the apostles were GOD’s instruments
    • for getting the instructions of
    • THE OWNER-BOSS-COMMANDER, & SAVIOR, KING, CHIEF-PRIEST, JUDGE
    • reach them
    • verbally then;

    and even
    for us now(!),

    • as GOD has purposed
    • in THE printed NEW COVENANT
    • that we have now(!)
    • simply to refer to (>>2nd Peter 3:2).

    v6  ’Yet this you do have,
    • that you hate the deeds of THE NICOLAITANS,
    • which I also HATE!!!

    This is a book of

     symbolisms
    and their meanings;

    • it is therefore in keeping with that,

    that we look for
    the meaning of
    this word

     JESUS HIMSELF

     used twice
    in HIS WORD.
      (>>>*T#026)

      • The Greeks have that word “Nicolait” which is derived from two other Greek words. “Nikao” means conqueror or above others. “Laos” means common people.
      • NICOLAITANS then refers to some people in gatherings
      • among whom there ought to be no distinction vis-a-vis each other
      • and yet somehow esteem themselves higher than them whom they are with.

      And THE OWNER-BOSS,
      CHIEF-PRIEST, JUDGE
      hates this kind of behavior
      among HIS disciples!

      • At that point in time, it was only a behavior yet.
      • Yes, THE LORD confirmed as correct
      • the act of testing and consequent non-acceptance
      • by some of them
      • of THESE NICOLAITANS’
      • demeanor and utterances
      • as should be hated!


      Many among them
      were not aware


      • that these behaviors were downright contrary to


      ELDERSHIP as practiced
      by the apostles


      • --- and were getting many of them to abandon



      what
      The Holy Spirit
      carefully put across
      through the apostles' mouths


      • and not just any other’s mouth!


      THIS IS WHAT



      the complete number
      of stars in


      THE CHURCH
      IN DESIRABLE STATUS


      were to do
      to shed light
      that all of us
      believers in

      THE LORDSHIP &
      THE CHRISTHOOD


      of JESUS are of



      THE ROYAL
      PRIESTHOOD ---

      • THE CHIEF PRIEST-KING-BOSS wants of us
      • on this particular aspect
      • to our fellow disciples


      whom THE LORD
      are calling to be
      OVERCOMERS

       v7 ‘He who has an ear,
      • let him listen to what The Spirit says to the churches.
      • To him who overcomes,
      • I will grant to eat of the tree of life,
      • which is in the paradise of GOD.’

      GOD’s original intent
      was for man to eat of
      the fruit of the tree of life.

      • What HE planned in GENESIS,
      • HE now gets to accomplish
      • through THE BOOK of REVELATION.
      • For them then who stuck to the apostolic teachings alone,
      • as GOD so instructed for HIS CHURCH
      • and then put to naught the corruptive unbecoming demeanors
      • of fellow disciples
      • referred to no less than by THE LORD & JUDGE HIMSELF
      • as NICOLAITANS ---

      --- the overcomers to
      these corruptions

      • then at that particular period in time
      • were given this particular promise
      • to exclusively enjoy in eternity.
      • What a glory for those Christians of that particular generation!
