STANDARD of DISCIPLINE
or
STANDARD of DISCIPLINE
“Be holy as I am holy.” --- >>1st Peter 1:16
- be distinctively unique as the individual among individuals
- just as GOD is distinctively unique in all uniqueness!
PURPOSES of
DISCIPLINING OUR
INDIVIDUAL SELVES
DISCIPLINING OUR
INDIVIDUAL SELVES
1. To improve the spiritual state
- of every one attending the fellowship
- vis-à-vis the watching world (>>Matthew 5:13-16)
- so that we all do not become stumbling blocks to others (>>Matthew 18:6).
2. To prevent sinning from spreading unabated (>>1stCorinthians 5:6-7).
3. To keep the guilty find his way to GOD
- instead of being condemned (>>2ndCorinthians 2:5-11).
4. For the habitually sinning saints
- --- to be able to get away from GOD’s two-fold JUDGMENT! (>>1st Corinthians 11:30-32).
GOALS to achieve WHEN WE
GATHER TOGETHER:
GATHER TOGETHER:
1. We should ALL be able to consider
- how to stimulate one another
- to love and good deeds! (>>Hebrews 10:24)
2. We should ALL be able to make the difference
- in our characters
- from them who do not fellowship
- with one another! (>>Hebrews 10:24-25)
3. We should ALL be able to encourage one another
- as we are coming close to the end
- of our preparations
- for THE CHRIST’s coming! (>>Hebrews 10:24-25)
4. We should ALL be able to achieve for one another
- peace (>>>T#057) and
- mutual edification
- in our difficulties! (>>Romans 14:19)
5. We should ALL be able to share
- knowledge & obedience
- which is WISDOM
- for one another’s growth and
- building one another in love! (>>Ephesians 4:15-16)
6. We should ALL be able to proclaim THE LORD’s DEATH
- for the remission of our sinnings
- when in our gatherings we celebrate (>>Acts 2:42, 1st Corinthians 11:26-27)
- >>> THE LORD’s TABLE
7. We should ALL be able to get THE WORD of THE CHRIST
- dwell in us richly
- in all wisdom
- as we teach and admonish one another
- when we together to one another
- --- sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs
- with gratitude in our hearts! (>>Colossians 3:16)
8. We should ALL be able to speak
- to one another
- with the lyrics
- of the psalms, hymns and spiritual songs
- we sing
- with understanding (>>1st Corinthians 14:15)
- ---- and to THE LORD ---
- the accompanying melody
- from our hearts! (>>Ephesians 5:19)
9. We should ALL be able to continue steadfastly
- with the apostolic teachings
- for our instructions! (>>Acts 2:42)
10. We should ALL be able to keep one another informed
- of THE LORD’s WORK among us
- & even in other places
- as THEY may reach us
- from visiting brethren! (>>Acts 14:27)
11. We should ALL be able to win the favor
- of all the people around
- SO THAT THE LORD will add DAILY
- to our number
- they who are being saved! (>>Acts 2:47)
“Let us consider how to
stimulate one another to love
and good deeds, not forsaking
our own gathering together,
as the habit of some, but
encouraging one another; and
all the more, as you see
the day of judgment
drawing near.”
(>>Hebrews 10:24-25)

HOW DO WE
particularly
particularly
STIMULATE
&
ENCOURAGE
&
ENCOURAGE
ONE ANOTHER ????
I. By meeting anywhere WE CAN
and may be allowed to meet!
1. Even in the place where we used to worship in our old religion! (>>Acts 2:46, >>3:1)
2. In the houses of the brethren! (>>Romans 16:5; >>1st Corinthians 16:19; >>Philemon 2; >>Colossians 4:15)
3. In every house! (>>Acts 5:42)
4. In schools of learning! (>>Acts 19:9)
5. In porches of the wealthy (>>Acts 5:12)
II. By getting money to be no reason whatsoever
for our being unable to gather:
(On the part of the invited):
1. No need for money to buy dress for wearing to church
2. No need for money to spend for transportation & fares
3. No need for money to give for tithes, offerings & special solicitations!
(On the part of those who invite):
1. No need for money to rent or own a place to gather
2. No need for money to rent or own musical instruments to play!
3. No need for money to pay for the water, electricity and facilities!
- ALL BECAUSE THE NEW TESTAMENT RECORDS WILL NOT SHOW THE CHURCH GATHERED MONEY FOR HER OWN USE!!!
- THE CHURCH HELD NO MONEY & MADE NO DECISIONS WHO & WHAT AMOUNTS TO GIVE TO & SPEND FOR!!
- In fact, THE CHURCH in Jerusalem grew to as many as 5,000 MEN (alone) that fast ... as recorded as early in >>Acts 4:4 yet; AND, IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FACTS:
THE WORD of GOD spread
rapidly
and the disciples multiplied
greatly
because neither financial
nor administrative matters
hindered the disciples from
preaching and teaching
as recorded until Acts 6
when
an
ADMINISTRATIVE CONCERN
for the first time distracted
THE CHURCH
from preaching & teaching

from preaching & teaching
THE WORD of GOD,
- AND they took care of it
- by what they did as recorded for our proper guidance and instruction
- in >>Acts 6:1-7!!!
- that WE be convinced:
THE CHURCH mission
- is TO MAKE every believer in THE LORDSHIP & THE CHRISTHOOD of JESUS
- GROW MUCH FRUIT (>>Galatians 5:22-23)
- and ESTABLISH THE LORDSHIP & THE CHRISTHOOD of JESUS
- MORE FIRMLY TO ONE ANOTHER - - - -
- by getting
THE WORD of GOD,
read, heard,
read, heard,
understood and obeyed
at every opportunity
- THROUGH each disciple
- who ought to take care individually
- of the requirements of evangelization & benevolence
- they are involved in
in partnership with
brother-sister believers
brother-sister believers
- who are just as aware of such needs
- without advertising such needs
- as
denominations'leaders
-
are doing contra-scripturallynow!
III. “EACH ONE HAS A HYMN,
HAS A TEACHING,
HAS A TEACHING,
- kada usa gyud(!) [fully participative gyud !]
- has a say or request about THESE 3 THINGS
- … “DONE FOR EDIFICATION” ….
- “THAT ALL” (tanan gyud!) may learn
- and all may be exhorted ….
but
all these 3 things
be done properly
and in an
orderly manner”
all these 3 things
be done properly
and in an
orderly manner”
- according to the purposes and intents
- kay walay soloist o star ta
- diha sa atong panag-abot-abot
- all brothers and sisters >>Matthew 23:8-10 ta nga nag-tigom!
- per >>1st Corinthians 14:26-27
- with clear understanding of what we are praying for (>>>T#014)
- and what we are singing about (>>1st Corinthians 14:15).
IV. By our giving directly to the brethren
who have need
who have need
- rather than
being obligated to give tithes & offerings--
- the needy among us immediately receive answers to their needs
- and the better situated among us
- do GOD’s will
- as espoused in
