v12 “And care/of THE MESSENGER

to THE CHURCH

IN UNION with THE WORLD

[in Pergamum then in circa A.D. 100-313,] write:

THE ONE WHO has the sharp two-edged sword, says this:

This is precisely how
THE JUDGE, CHIEF-PRIEST,
SAVIOR, KING,
OWNER-BOSS-COMMANDER
JESUS HIMSELF

pictured HIMSELF before HIS SUFFERING CHURCH

in A.D. 100 or whereabouts,

when only a decreasing number among them

were left sticking it out with

THE TEACHINGS from THE APOSTLES ONLY and

THE MANY OF THEM contributed to the sins

and allied themselves

with THOSE NICOLAITANS and

becoming one with them.

The many of them in
THE CHURCH then

appeared as IN UNION (“puyo-puyo”),

“living-in” with

the human authorities of worldly pursuits among them.

Nothing less than HIS being

[1] our OWNER

[2] our BOSS and

[3] our COMMANDER

being our LORD &
simultaneously
as THE CHRIST

[4] our SAVIOUR,

[5] our KING,

[6] our CHIEF-PRIEST, &

[7] our JUDGE

scrutinizing us closely

one by one, moment-to-moment NOW(!)

--- basing HIS PRECISE JUDGMENTS

on the sharpness of precision

of the two-edged sword (>>Hebrews 4:12)

THE TEACHINGS from
THE APOSTLES

and

beholding HIM IN those 7 above
personal relationships

would be effective to keep THE CHURCH that we are

willing to suffer
and continue with
THE WORD OF GOD

PRESCRIBED APPROPRIATE

FOR

THIS END-TIME

to be able to cease & desist

from being
IN UNION WITH
THE WORLD

they & we have been called out from

--- while being part of HIS CHURCH!!!

v13 ‘I know where you dwell,

where Satan’s throne is;

and you hold fast MY name,

and did not deny MY faith,

even in the days of Antipas,

MY witness, MY faithful one,

who was killed among you,

where Satan dwells.

THE LORD &
THE CHRIST
recognized

their situation, where they were

--- as very difficult indeed.

IN their WORLD of unabated, increasing CONTROL and

UNCALLED-FOR INFLUENCE of THOSE NICOLAITANS

~~behaving as~~ AUTHORITIES

in their life as THE CHURCH,

their outward (therefore visible) appearance

have actually by then ~~transformed into a life~~

in union with the world.

That’s what the readily-visible portion of their company have become

while they who held fast
THE CHRIST’s AUTHORITY
and kept on witnessing for
THE FAITH
in and towards HIM

suffered increasingly.

The name Antipas has not found way in history but pursuing the line of symbolism and meanings

that The Book of
REVELATION should be
approached and communicated,

“Anti” means against and “Pas” means all.

Antipas therefore means against all.

Being spoken of appreciatively by THE LORD JESUS HIMSELF,

he must not be a trouble-maker

but one who is on the side of GOD,

opposed to all things contrary to GOD,

WORLDLINESS for that matter,

and in the process died opposing them.

v14 ‘But I have a few things against you,

because you have there some

who hold the teaching of Balaam,

who kept teaching Balak

to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel,

to eat things sacrificed to idols,

and to commit acts of immorality.

THE JUDGE-LORD
&
CHIEF-PRIEST

reminded them then

(and even us now!)

of what Balak was taught by Balaam (refer to >>Numbers Chapters 22-24)

so that the people of Israel whom he wanted to get cursed

by Balaam but was not able to,

was just the same fallen after sinning against GOD!

Balak told Balaam: “You are a prophet. Please curse the people of Israel.” (>>Numbers 22:5-6).

Balaam coveted the money Balak offered (>>Numbers 22:7)

and was desirous to go, and

though GOD hindered him at first (>>v.12),

HE later permitted him (>>v.20).

But Balaam could find no way to curse the people of Israel. However since he had already accepted Balak’s money and had done nothing in return for Balak, he felt increasingly uncomfortable; so,

he conceived a scheme which then was also obtaining in THE CHURCH IN SUFFERING.

The Moabites were to ask their women to draw near to the people of Israel.

In the process, the Moabite women and the people of Israel were united.

These Gentile women also brought their idols with them causing the people of Israel not only to commit fornication,

but also to worship the idols.

GOD was angry and slew
24,000 Israelites;
but Moab was preserved.

From >>Numbers 25:1-3, we see that the Moabite women were united with the Israelites

but it is only until we read in >>Numbers 31:16 that one discovers that the scheme, so subtle, was designed by Balaam.

THE JUDGE-LORD & CHIEF-PRIEST was showing to HIS people then in circa A.D. 100-313

and even to us now(!),

how THE CHURCH

who was earlier opposed by the world then

and since about A.D. 100

turned to unity with the world

via exactly the same subtle scheme that united the people of GOD

with The Gentile world through fornication

and worship of idols,

through sex and idolatry.

Balaam’s subtle scheme
was put to work

continuingly by the devil

in uniting THE CHURCH with the world

even in the practice of worship

not in the spirit
and not in the truth

but in increasingly pious devotions

as manifesting in those religious fanatical celebrations

by millions of devotees worshipping as

we are seeing around now! (>>>*T#012).

v15 ‘Thus you also have some who in the same way hold the teaching of the NICOLAITANS.

Then, besides Balaam’s subtle scheme,

THE JUDGE-LORD & CHIEF-PRIEST manifested HIS disapproval of

the (by then already) teachings of the NICOLAITANS (>>Revelation 2:15)

that have already characterized THE CHURCH IN UNION with THE WORLD

in Pergamum then.

What started as

mere behaviors and
utterances

(>>Revelation 2:6)

by some when
The Church was still
in Desirable Status
at the time

when all the apostles
have already
one after another
died & left them in A.D. 96,

has then become established teaching held on by many.

In
THE BIBLE, GOD HIMSELF
has made clear

HIS WISDOM –

that THE CHURCH was not established by THE BOSS-OWNER-COMMANDER

with some in positions lording over the rest.

JESUS, in HIS lifetime on earth, even spoke out in clear terms

no one among HIS disciples was to allow themselves

to be called ~~Father~~ or ~~Teacher~~

by their fellow disciples >>(Matthew 23:8-11)

because
greatness under
HIS PLAN
will have nothing to do

with people’s positions, titles, greetings

but on the basis of service to one another

as brothers and sisters in love,

as THE metamorphosed CHURCH IN BROTHERLY LOVING one another.

This is made even
more evident

in the matter of titles and addresses

THE BOSS-OWNER-COMMANDER, CHIEF-PRIEST does not want

to find way into use among HIS people,

except as brothers and sisters.

The basic principle
in THE CHURCH is:

ALL

are equal in our individual
responsibilities in living up

to our having been created

in HIS image
in the likeness of
HIS AUTHORITY

as brothers' keepers
>>Genesis 4:9
with no one in between

US and THE CHRIST.

Under THE HEADSHIP of THE LORD JESUS THE CHRIST and HIS AUTHORITY ----

THE WORD of GOD ~ rightly divided / appropriated / dispensed ----

is all that THE CHURCH needs

and overcomer-elders in every situation.

~~LEADERSHIP~~ is only for the world’s organizations.

Leadership ~~is taboo~~ in THE CHURCH.

v16 ‘Repent therefore;

or else I am coming to you quickly,

and I will make war against them

with the sword of MY mouth.

Here, THE JUDGE
CHIEF-PRIEST-LORD

speaks in very strong
words

to HIS CHURCH.

If they will not repent,

HE was going to wage war with them

with the sword in and of HIS mouth.

This means HE was going to

punish them who
will continue with
the subtle schemes of
Balaam and

the behavior and
the corruptions
of THESE NICOLAITANS.

HE was going to rid THE CHURCH

of these that were already in THE CHURCH then

that were making THE CHURCH worldly.

GOD at the start

made all the people of Israel

a nation of priests.

When they sinned and the whole nation got worldly as the Gentiles,

GOD reduced the job of priests

only to The Levites.

It was when as a nation,

Israel became worldly

that the matter of serving GOD was committed to

just the few people of the tribe (only) of Levi.

Now in this end times

of ours, GOD’s WILL

is to depend on all

HE is currently
JUDGING

to be HIS nation of priests

---- calling for all of us
to be HIS PRIESTS
& OVERCOMERS

in the matter of
accomplishing
the balance of

HIS PLANS

---- in the ongoing
construction, building and
assembling to completion of

THE NEW JERUSALEM

(>>>T#036).

v17 ‘He who has an ear,

let him listen to what The Spirit says to the churches.

To him who overcomes,

to him I will give some of the hidden manna,

and I will give him a white stone,

and a new name written on the stone

which no one knows but he who receives it.’

This was
the extra-urgent
challenge from

THE CHIEF-PRIEST, JUDGE, OWNER-BOSS-COMMANDER, SAVIOR and KING

to the followers of THE WAY then,

sometime A.D. 100 - 313 or thereabouts.

Two things were promised
to THE OVERCOMERS

of the ~~corruptions~~
from within then.

One is the hidden manna and the other is the white stone.

The hidden manna and the manna in the wilderness are two different mannas.

When the Israelites were in the wilderness, manna came down from heaven daily for them to eat.

Then Moses told them to take a golden pot, fill it with an omer of manna, and kept it in the ark.

These, they did.

When the immediately succeeding generations would ask about the matter,

they could just be simply told how GOD had sent down manna from heaven to feed them while they were in the wilderness.

But even for some chosen Gentiles in the 2nd & 3rd centuries for whom GOD had a special plan,

there was that manna kept in the ark for evidence >>(Exodus 16:14-35).

What a privilege
it would be for

THE OVERCOMERS

within
THE CHURCH

during those most trying years
then in church history,

to partake of that which was long ahead of time

prepared for them as a prize

by and from GOD HIMSELF.

The other reward is the white stone

on which is written THE OVERCOMER’s new name.

What an honor and privilege
full of meanings

to live in ETERNITY
for these overcomers

to those corruptions
from within
THE CHURCH then

to be given a new name

for himself

and coming from THE LORD

(BOSS-OWNER-COMMANDER)

HIMSELF at that.

Those are eternal joy!

TRUTH to them ----
LESSON for us to learn:
